Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Barato Cebu account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This applies to accounts created with email and password, Google, Facebook or Apple, on the website or in the Barato app.

How to delete your account

1. 1In the app or on the website: log in, then open Account → Delete account (or this page) and tap Delete my account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
2. 2By email: if you cannot log in, email privacy@baratocebu.com from the email address on your account (or include the phone number on your account) with the subject "Account deletion request". We may ask you to confirm the request before we delete the account.

What gets deleted

• •Your account and profile: name, email address, phone number and password
• •Saved delivery addresses and saved payment method labels
• •Links to your Google, Facebook or Apple login (Sign in with Apple access is revoked with Apple)
• •Login sessions; you are signed out on this device and app tokens stop working
• •Vouchers assigned to your account
• •Your cart and wishlist stored on this device are cleared when you delete your account here

What we keep, and why

Some records must be kept for legal, tax, accounting and dispute or fraud-prevention purposes, even after your account is deleted:

• •Order and payment records (order number, items, amounts, payment method and status, payment references, delivery area such as barangay and city, and proof of delivery). These are detached from your account and your name, email, phone number, street address, map location and order notes are removed from them.
• •Records held by our payment processor (PayMongo) under its own privacy policy.

We keep these anonymized records only for as long as required by applicable law or as needed to resolve disputes, and then delete them. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

Before you delete

• •If you have an order in progress (not yet delivered or cancelled), please wait until it is completed. Account deletion is blocked while an order is in progress.
• •Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You can create a new account later.
• •Orders you placed as a guest (without logging in) are not linked to an account; email us to request removal of your details from them.
